Equinox Music & Entertainment

Equinox was established in 1998 as an organization specializing in the import and distribution of audio CD and vinyl products in Turkey. The company has a strong marketing and distribution network that enables the extensive distribution of its products all over Turkey. In addition to working with some of Turkey's leading retail chain stores, the company also distributes its products through various smaller but competent retail spots.

Among the first record labels Equinox started distributing in Turkey were ACT Music + Vision, Traditional Crossroads, Golden Horn, Global Underground, Jazz FM and Hed Kandi. In a few years Rykodisc, Sanctuary, Six Degrees and Crammed Discs were added to the roster, followed by Beggars Group, Black Hole, Ministry of Sound, Water Music, Ultra and PIAS. After a few years of only distribution period, the company started its own record label division, being home to the renowned world music artist Kudsi Erguner. Over the years more and more labels were added to the distribution roster including High Note, Dreyfus Disques, Telarc/Heads Up, Mack Avenue, MAXJAZZ, Pi, Cam Jazz, Candid, BHM, Justin’ Time, Asphalt Tango, Galileo, SteepleChase, Criss Cross, Ozella, Pirouet, Premonition, Defected, Renaissance, Union Square, Putumayo and Rough Guide. The record label division also became more active in recent years signing some of Turkey’s best jazz acts such as Ferit Odman, Ozan Musluoglu and Sibel Gürsoy.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
